Photo of Neighbor Aber Chuck Aber (Class of 1963) appeared on Mr. Roger's Neighborhood as Neighbor Aber.  He has also done regional musical theater.  He can be seen in many commercials, including Dean Honda.  He has appeared with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.  For more information on his filmography, check the Internet Movie Data Base by clicking here.

jodie_applegate.jpg (12143 bytes) Jodi Applegate (Class of 1982) is an Emmy Award winning host for FOX's Good Day New York, after having worked for MSNBC (covering Princess Di's funeral), NBC (hosting Later Today) and FOX in Boston .  To read more about her, click here.

Debbie Bartels (Class of 1983) went to Clarian University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated with a BA in Speech Communication and Theater.  For the next several years, she worked consistently in theater in Baltimore, Jacksonville, Orlando, Los Angeles and Seattle before heading home to Pittsburgh in 1999.  While in LA, she also worked in film and television as an extra, including one starring Mel Gibson.  She now performs in Pittsburgh, most recently for the Echo Theater Company in their production of Blythe Spirit

Neil Bose (Class of 1994) has appeared in productions in the Pittsburgh area.

Tiffany L. BogichTiffany Bogich (Class of 2002) was recently awarded a Rhodes Scholarship to study at Oxford!

Joel Bussard (Class of 2005) is the stage manager for the Thiel Players at Thiel College.

Lou Christie (Class of 1961) is an internationally known singer/composer.  Among his hit songs are:  Lightning Strikes, The Gypsy Cried, Two Faces Have I, Rhapsody in the Rain and I'm Gonna Make You Mine.  To read more about Lou and his upcoming performances, click here.

Joe C. Deren (Class of 2002) is a 2008 graduate of the Carnegie Mellon University School of Music with a degree in Vocal Performance and will be attending the Manhattan School of Music to pursue a Master of Music Degree in Classical Vocal Performance in the fall of 2008.  Joe has performed operatic roles both in the United States and Europe.  His performance credits include Aida, Alcina, Don Pasquale, Billy Budd, L’Italiana in Algieri,  A Little Night Music, and Nine among others. Joe is also a frequent performer on the concert stage.

Britany Duffy (Class of 1997) is a Theater graduate of Shenandoah and is pursuing a career in theater.

Casey Duffy (Class of 2002) is a Theater graduate of Shenandoah and is pursuing a career in theater.

001_1a.jpg (269223 bytes)  Roy Gloeckl (Class of 2005) and Nikki Tramposch (Class of 2004) at the premiere of the film Doing Therapy, in which they both appeared.  Roy will be the lead in Pitts Greensburg Theater Company's production of The Miser, April 3-5 in the Ferguson Theater.

Vince Gorman (Class of 1994) studied at Slippery Rock University as Double bass performance major. Vince is a working musician in the Pittsburgh area. He has performed with groups such as The Marc Bodell Trio, Dr. Zoot, Lance LaDuke and the Malcontents, Mike Clancy Quartet, Al Dowe Quintet, Joe Herndon Little Big Band, Trinity Jazz Ensemble, The Uptown Combo, as well as the 2004-05 National Tour The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. He is the Musical Director for the Billy Mancini Band, and is the Co- Director of the Hopewell Community Jazz Ensemble.

He has worked with noted artists Jeff Coffin, Bob Mintzer, Randy Brecker, Claudio Roditi, Rufus Reid, Joe Negri, Dave Keim, Ralph Lalama, Dave LaLama, Dave Boyer, Rick Simerly, and Kim Nazarian of the New York Voices.

Donna Guyker Groom (Class of 1979) is a multitalented performer and recording artist.  She is the female vocalist for The Skyliners.  To read more about her, click here.

Elizabeth Hetzer (Class of 2002) appeared in Villanova Theater's productions of Big River (pictured) and Urinetown.  Congratulations to Lizzie for her distinction of graduating first in her class in the college of Commerce and Finance at Villanova.   She received the Bartley Medallion for this distinction.  Lizzie is Assistant Director of Corporate Affairs at the New York Public Library, Humanities and Social Sciences Department.  She was recently awarded a Reynolds Fellowship and plans to further develop a methodology for children and young adults that employs the performing arts as a medium for social change.  To read more about her, check out:    http://www.nyu.edu/reynolds/grad/07_html/hetzer.html

Margaret Jansen (Class of 1991) is a Linklater voice teacher and coach at The Actors Studio at Pace University.  She has been a member of Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA for the past 8 seasons.  She has coached the main stage productions of Hamlet and The Merry Wives of Windsor.  Margaret is also on the staff of NYU's Experimental Theater Wing and has been a guest teacher at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco as well as Cooper Union in New York City.  She coaches actors, teachers and attorneys privately.

Richie Marmura (Class of 2001) is pursuing a Masters Degree in Entertainment Technology at Carnegie Mellon University.  He earned a bachelors degree in theater and political science at Westminster College, then attended the University of Minnesota for an MFA in scenic design.  He has worked for different entertainment companies including the Vee Corporation and Walt Disney Imagineering.  You can check out his web site by clicking here.

Michael Misko (Class of 2004) graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Shenandoah University and Conservatory.  His theater credits include:  Cliff in Cabaret, Lycus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Katurian in The Pillowman, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, Number 8 in Twelve Angry Men, Dr. Parker in Bat Boy: The Musical and Brad in Rocky Horror Show LIVE!  Michael has also been actively involved in directing such shows as:  The Taming of the Shrew, Art, Rocky Horror Show LIVE!, Smokey Joe's Cafe and Hamlet.

Photo of Mrs McFeelyMichael Moricz (Class of 1977) is the producer, arranger, programmer and conductor of Music for Time to Sing!™   He is the former  Resident Composer and Associate Conductor of the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre.  His ballet compositions include The Great Gatsby, Amazing Grace, Hunter's Moon and The Mighty Casey.  Michael has written television scores for the Disney, Fox, Showtime, Discovery and PBS networks and was music director for "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" on PBS. He has conducted the Buffalo Philharmonic, Virginia Symphony, North Carolina Symphony, the Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania Ballet Orchestras and the Kennedy Center Orchestra at Wolf Trap.

Recently, Michael composed the music for Pittsburgh Public Theater's production of The Tempest (which was performed in February 2006).  He also did special arrangements for the Pittsburgh Symphony's Newsical.  Michael annually conducts the orchestras for The Gene Kelly Awards in Pittsburgh and The Tommy Tune Awards in Houston.

This year, Michael composed and recorded all of the new promotional and ID music for WQED, Pittsburgh's PBS affiliate.

Elizabeth O'Donnell (Class of 1998) is a Theater graduate of Shenandoah.  She as toured in the national company of Singin' in the Rain and Disney's Beauty and the Beast (see first two photos below).  Most recently, she appeared as Dorothy in the Kaliope Stage production of Nightclub Confidential in Cleveland (see last four photos below).

Brett Pintado (Class of 1995) is currently the house comic at Pittsburgh's Funny Bone, has a radio show on AM radio, and works clubs and colleges on the road.

Robin Rundquist (pictured on left with friend April) (Class of 1995) is a Theater graduate of Point Park College.  She recently appeared in New Dominion Pictures' series on the Discovery Channel called A Haunting.   She played the lead role in their episode, "The Presence." To read more about it, click here Other recent work includes a horror movie called The Dead Feed, which should be out on video this fall.  Now living in Virginia Beach, Robin and a friend April have started a business as professional storytellers.  Known as The Gypsy Moon Tellers, they attended the National Storytelling Conference in Pittsburgh this year.

David Sisk (Class of 1995) earned his BM from Youngstown State University, and his MM at The Manhattan School of Music. David has performed with The Youngstown Symphony Orchestra, The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, The Fairfax Symphony Orchestra, The DiCapo Opera Orchestra, The Airmen of Note, The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra (under the direction of Buddy Morrow) and The National Symphony. David has also been a performer and soloist at festivals such as the ITF and the Eastern Trombone Workshop. David is currently Second Trombone of The United States Air Force Concert Band and Ceremonial Brass in Washington, DC, a position he has occupied since May of 2001.

Sergeant Sisk’s military awards and decorations include the National Defense Service Medal, the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, the Global War On Terrorism Medal, and the Air Force Basic Training Honor Graduate Ribbon.

Morgan Springer (Class of 2001) appeared in Awakening: A New Musical in January 2008 in Manhattan.  Morgan made the cover of Playbill Magazine.  To read about the show, click here.

Perry (PJ) Tiberio (Class of 2001) graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor's of Science in Bioengineering.  Perry has a movie out called Better Luck Yesterday.  To read more about it, click here.  Among his six productions at Pitt is Tony 'n Tina's Wedding.  In addition, he has worked on projects for Pittsburgh Playwrights Theater Company.  He also starred in a feature independent film (a horror movie) with Toe Tag Pictures called The Redsin Tower.  He now resides in New York City and is in his second year of med school at SUNY Downstate. This spring he will take his first set of board exams then start his PhD research.  AND he's still acting. Matthew Udvari (Class of 1997) is a video game designer for Midway Studios in Austin, TX.  He earned his B.A. in Computer Science and Music at Wake Forest.  At Carnegie Mellon, Matt studied playwriting in the drama department along with Entertainment Technology.  He has performed in numerous plays and musicals, acted in Shakespeare & Company's Intensive Workshop in 1999, and directed Broken Bones for the Wake Forest Theatre. As a playwright, he has written several works and seen them produced on stage.  At Wake Forest University, he was also a decathlete/jumper for the varsity track team.

headshot.jpg (579073 bytes) Katie Vernal (Class of 2003)  Katie spent 2 years at Duquesne University as a Theater Major. There, she was a part of Footloose, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Desk Set (with the Summer Company).  Katie now attends the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, a musical theater/acting conservatory in New York City.

Ed Walker (Class of 1982) is a professor of vocal music at the University of Miami, after having appeared in many shows around the world, including the lead role in The Phantom of the Opera in Germany and in Finland.
