Summer Reading Program
The Moon Area School District summer reading program for students entering grades 6 through 12 requires all students to read a novel during the summer months.
Sixth and Seventh grade students will be taking an exam on their book at the beginning of the school year. Study guides for this exam have been provided to help students prepare properly.
Eighth grade students will be completing a project of their choice from the options provided. Projects have been refined from last year's options based upon what was submitted by students this year and what was deemed to be the most educational by the eighth grade teachers.
Students in the high school (entering grades 9, 10, 11, or 12) will choose from the accompanying list and follow the instructions on an assignment handout that will be provided to them before the end of this school year (before June 15th, 2011). The completed assignments will be turned in to their new English teacher at the beginning of the next school year (August 2011).

A limited number of copies of the novel selections are available in the Moon Township library. You may also choose to purchase your own copy at a local book store or through Amazon.
